"It takes two people to install, but it makes the truck look beefier and nice I suppose, if this is is your need or desire to have. Install is not that difficult, it's more time consuming than anything else."

"Product came as advertised. As others have noted, the instructions provided are terrible. However, if you examine the brackets before installation, you'll be good. The lower brackets require the removal (and reinstallation if desired) of your tow hooks, but can be installed from the front of the opening without any cutting required - yes, it's tight and difficult, but can be done with a little muscle. The air dam requires cutting, but not to the extent shown in the instructions, a simple notch is more than adequate. The upper brackets go in the center opening of the bumper (the intake location for the intercooler if you have the EcoBoost). It took me about two hours total, and that included dropping and having to fish the bolt plates out of the frame twice (don't do it, but if you do, don't panic, you can see in the front of the tube above the tow hooks, and there are enough holes to get a screwdriver in to work it forward). All in all, it looks great."

"Great brush guard built strong and looks amazing. This does not take 3 hours to install like others have said, took off my old bull bar and mounted this one in just under 2 hours."

"Very Nice, heavy duty for sure! Plan on getting a leveling kit and a front end alignment afterwards due to the increased weight. Grill bottom to back of the guard clearance is about 1/4" when opened -Perfect!"

"Bought for 2010 Ford F150. This Westin HDX Grille Guard adds another level of attitude to my truck! Instructions were a little vague but was able to get thru it. Brackets provided for installations show that a good deal of engineering was put forth for this application. No drilling required which is how it should be!! Product appears to be well built, not that I want to test it but I will have it if needed. My truck is an FX4 4X4 with tow hooks, I was able to reuse the tow hooks. However I did have to modify the tow hooks for the mounts brakcets to fit, some extra material had to be ground off the backside of the tow hooks. So far I am very happy with the fit and appearance of the grille guard. I would buy this again."

"Bought and installed the black Westin 57-2505 on my 2012 Ford F150 STX by myself in 3 hours. I found it easier to install when I first did a dry run and found where all the rackets would mount, and where the trimming would take place. Had to remove the license plate holder for the upper brackets. Once I looked where it all goes the pictures included in the instruction made sense. Brackets and grille guard are really heavy duty. Very satisfied with the way it was packaged and the way it installed, and the way looks."

"This grill guard is worth it at full retail price so getting it for a little over $450 was awesome. Put it on my 13 F-150 Lariat. Its made very well. A buddy and I installed it in an afternoon. Trimming is required of the air damn and a small cut where the bracket sticks out to mount the bar. If you're installing it yourself you'll know what I mean. It wasn't hard to install it just takes time. Take your time and don't rush and you'll get it one without any issue. It wraps around the entire front, great protection against deer, dogs, and will possibly save your life in a wreck. A beginner like me put this on and yes there were times of confusion but it was my first time doing anything like this so its to be expected. ..."
